Aluminum Reflex Coating (for Pointprobe®, Arrow™ and Arrow™ UHF AFM Probes)
- 30 nm thick aluminum reflex coating on the detector side of the AFM cantilever
- enhances reflectance of the laser beam by a factor of 2.5
- prevents light from interfering within the AFM cantilever
- strongly recommended for thin AFM cantilevers if the coating is compatible with the application
Hard Magnetic Coating (for Pointprobe® AFM Probes)
- cobalt alloy coating on the AFM tip side of the AFM cantilever
- permanent magnetization of the AFM tip
- AFM tip needs to be magnetized by means of an external strong magnet prior to measurement
- soft magnetic samples may be influenced by the AFM tip magnetization
Soft Magnetic Coating (for Pointprobe® AFM Probes)
- soft magnetic coating on the AFM tip side of the AFM cantilever
- coercivity of app. 0.75 Oe
- remanence magnetization of app. 225 emu/cm3
- AFM tip needs to be magnetized by means of an external strong magnet prior to measurement
Diamond Coating (for Pointprobe® AFM Probes)
- 100 nm thick polycrystalline diamond coating on the AFM tip side of the AFM cantilever
- unsurpassed hardness of the AFM tip
- resistance < 10 kOhm for CDT
Platinum Iridium5 Coating (for Pointprobe® and Arrow™ AFM Probes)
- 25 nm thick platinum iridium5 coating on both sides of the AFM probe
- AFM tip side coating enhances conductivity and allows electrical measurements
- detector side coating enhances reflectance of the laser beam by a factor of 2
- stress compensated and wear resistant
Gold Coating (on request for Pointprobe® AFM Probes)
- 70 nm gold reflex coating on the detector side of the AFM cantilever enhances reflectance of the laser beam
- 70 nm thick gold coating on both sides of the AFM probe
Gold Reflex Coating (for Arrow™ UHF AFM Probes)
- 30 nm thick gold reflex coating on the detector side of the AFM cantilever enhances reflectance of the laser beam
Gold Coating (for Arrow™ Tipless AFM Probes)
- 30 nm thick gold coating on the sample facing side of the AFM cantilever(s)
Gold Reflex Coating (for Ultra-Short Cantilevers AFM Probes)
- 20 / 30 nm gold reflex coating on both sides of the AFM probe
- enhances reflectance of the laser beam
- AFM tip remains uncoated
Gold Coating (for Pyrex-Nitride AFM Probes)
- 70 nm gold reflex coating on the detector side of the AFM cantilevers enhances reflectance of the laser beam
- optional 35 nm thick gold coating on the tip side (front side) of the AFM cantilevers
